"she waited for him to come home"

mixed media relief sculpture,

shoe box size

Hestia was a homemaker and always stayed at home. But one day she got tired of waiting and abandoned the hearth. The flames died and the earth became dark and cold. Homes make us happy. So make your homemakers happy, too.

Hestia.
Hestia, in Greek mythology, was the goddess of the domestic hearth and every home once had an altar dedicated to her. And since every home had a fire, her role with fire was special. Women would sit by the fire and weave even in front of their guests
The Greek word for hearth means “focus” thus the home was considered a focal point.
The home is a santuary.
