To arrive at a specific goal, use self-hypnosis. The best way to learn self-hypnosis is to develop a schedule and to do it on a regular basis. Like 15 minutes a day for a month. Pick a good time to practice because self-hypnosis is best practiced when one is reasonably alert. A Basic Technique is this: Lay down in a comfortable position in a quiet and semi-dark room.. It’s important not to have distractions. Try to be totally relaxed draining your muscles of all tension. Then, starting with the toes and working your way up, imagine that each muscle feels limp and heavy and relaxed. Take your time. Once the body is relaxed, do some breathing . Inhale & expand, hold, then exhale & contract. Do this 10 times.

Then, to yourself, simply start counting downward from 100 drifting deeper into trance. Image yourself lying down on a beach next to the water’s edge with the waves moving in and out. In and out. In and out. Synchronize your breathing to the rhythm of these waves. In this state of deep relaxation, suggestibility is increased. The subconscious is ready to receive the objectives that you’ve set for yourself. The best thing to do is to have your goals mentally prepared into a monologue. For example, repeat over and over again “Every day in everyway I’m getting better and better.” Once this monologue is finished, prepare yourself to leave this state of altered consciousness by saying to yourself: One, I’m going to wake up now. Two, I’m waking up. Three, I’m awake.
